Tallow is a saturated fat that will melt or harden depending on the temperature of its environment. If it's too firm, simply warm it between your hands until it's soft enough to apply. If it's too soft, refrigerate or place in a cool area until it firms up.

Store below 30ºC out of direct sunlight.

Shelf life: 6-12 months at room temperature or over 1 year refrigerated.

Tallow is rendered beef fat, traditionally sourced from responsibly raised cows. It is renowned for its biocompatibility with the skin. Tallow contains essential fatty acids and antioxidants, making it a nourishing and moisturising ingredient. Learn more about tallow and why we use it here.

Tallow contains fatty acids that are high compatible those found in healthy human skin, which is why many people find it absorbs well without clogging pores.

As with any skincare product, individual skin types vary, so we always recommend patch testing first.

Our cream is rich and nourishing by design. When used in small amounts it melts into the skin and absorbs well, without a greasy feeling.

Our tallow is gently rendered to preserve nutrients and reduce the likelihood of a lingering beefy scent. Our creams are herbal infused and their scents come through beautifully with zero lingering tallow scent.

Yes. The cream is suitable for both face and body and is especially beneficial for dry or sensitive skin. Start with a small amount and gently massage into the skin. Because the cream is highly nourishing, only a very small amount is needed.

Our tallow creams are herb-infused, whereas our balm is not. It really depends on your use case and what scent you prefer. The balm is best used for face + smaller areas needing attention. The creams spread easier and absorb quicker for larger areas on the body.

Another personal preference as both creams suit sensitive skin types. It depends if you prefer a sweeter scent (vanilla) or a more neutral herby scent (chamomile calendula).
