Simple, nourishing skincare your skin understands.

How to use it

1. Prep your skin with our Tallow Cleansing Oil and open your lymph nodes by gently stimulating them with your fingertips above your collarbones, behind your ears and around the bottom and sides of your nose.

2. Apply a generous amount of our Tallow Balm or Tallow Cream to your face and décolletage to allow the tool to glide smoothly.

3. Hold the tool almost flat (about 15–30°) against your skin — not straight up and down.

4. Gentle pressure & slow strokes. Use light to medium pressure—never drag harshly or press deeply.
Work in upward and outward strokes to lift and sculpt.

When to use

☀︎AM: After cleansing but before before applying the rest of your skincare.

☾ PM: After cleansing.

What's in it

100% Brass (Copper & Zinc)

What's NOT in it

Unlike many popular stone gua sha tools on the market, ours is free from any sort of chemicals that are often used to treat stones like jade or rose quartz.

Need to know

Made from solid brass — an alloy of copper and zinc — this tool holds more than beauty. Copper, a natural conductor of energy, is known to support purification, tissue repair, and collagen production. It’s antimicrobial, soothing to the skin, and believed to draw out excess heat and inflammation from the body. With each use, you’re not just massaging, you’re encouraging lymphatic flow, easing muscular tension, and inviting your glow to return.

Product care

Wash with water after every use and dry with a soft towel. Store in its protective pouch.

Note: Brass naturally oxidises over time with blue-green colours. This is not a flaw, but a feature — each tool will age into its own unique patina, just like you.

Why Tallow Bar is different

Not all tallow skincare is created the same.

We prioritise ingredient quality, simplicity, and skin compatibility — without the fluff.

Learn about our methods

Why we started Tallow Bar

After years of struggling with eczema and finding no relief from prescription or mainstream skincare, I began making my own tallow balm out of desperation.

That balm restored my severely damaged skin barrier and became the start of Tallow Bar.

Frequently asked questions

Still wondering if it’s right for your skin? Check our most asked questions below. You can also use the chat box to speak to us directly!

Why choose copper instead of a stone gua sha?

Copper offers a smooth, durable surface that glides easily across the skin. It is also naturally antimicrobial, easy to clean and non-porous unlike stone which can harbour bacteria over time leading to breakouts.

Is this suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes. When used with gentle pressure, our gua sha is suitable for most skin types, including sensitive skin. Always apply a facial oil or balm first to allow the tool to glide comfortably across the skin.

What is the pointy end of the tool for?

In true Tallow Bar fashion, we love a multitasking product, that's why we chose a gua sha design that includes an acupressure wand. It can be used on the face and body, to stimulate lymph nodes and relieve TMJ, by providing targeted deep tissue trigger point massage.

What results can I expect from regular use?

With consistent use, gua sha can help reduce puffiness, improve circulation and encourage a more sculpted appearance. Many people also find it helps relieve tension in the face and promotes a healthy, radiant glow.
